An Update on InceptionLRT’s EigenLayer Vaults
Since the early days of Inception, we’ve supported EigenLayer’s pioneering role in the restaking ecosystem. As the first restaking infrastructure, EigenLayer was instrumental in shaping this new paradigm, and we were proud to be among its early integrators, offering vaults that allowed users to restake LSTs into AVSs with ease.
However, as our protocol architecture has evolved, so too have our requirements. Inception’s curator-centric model is built on a modular and multi-curated vault framework, one that prioritizes flexibility, scalability, and security. Unfortunately, the current version of EigenLayer’s infrastructure presents constraints that make it incompatible with our multi-curation design.
Sunset of Remaining EigenLayer Vaults
In a previous update, we announced the deprecation of low-adoption EigenLayer vaults. At the time, we kept operational three strategically important vaults: inETH, instETH, and insfrxETH. Today, we’re announcing the full sunset of all remaining EigenLayer vaults on Inception.
This decision reflects our continued efforts to maintain a vault architecture that is aligned with our long-term vision, one where curation plays a central role in shaping restaking opportunities. Until EigenLayer’s framework evolves to support this approach, maintaining active integrations introduces unnecessary architectural friction.
What This Means for Users
- Deposits into inETH, instETH, and insfrxETH will be halted effective immediately.
- Users with active deposits in these vaults will continue to have full access to their funds—withdrawals are always available.
- All remaining assets will be visible under the Portfolio tab on the Inception dApp, where users can manage and retrieve their funds.
Changes to DeFi Integrations
As part of the sunset process, the EigenLayer-related DeFi integrations will be removed from the DeFi tab on the InceptionLRT interface. These interactions previously allowed users to access external protocols via direct links from our UI.
This removal only affects the visibility of these integrations on our front-end. The integrations themselves remain live and accessible directly through the respective protocols.
If you’ve interacted with these integrations or hold associated Inception tokens, you can still:
- Visit the external DeFi protocols directly
- Withdraw Inception tokens
- Unstake and retrieve your underlying assets as usual
No functionality is being removed from the smart contracts themselves, only the convenience of accessing them via our interface is being paused.
Looking Ahead
We remain committed to EigenLayer and its role in the restaking ecosystem, and we are closely monitoring their developments.
If in the future there is an upgrade to their infrastructure, we will revisit the opportunity to reintroduce EigenLayer-based vaults on Inception, this time with full alignment to our curator-first design.
In the meantime, our focus is on delivering a world-class restaking experience through architectures that fully support modular vault curation and a seamless user experience.

Thank you for continuing to build the future of the shared security economy with Inception.
